Preflop call has no reason. You r oop in multipot and you r shortstacked. With such effective stack you r in push fold mode.BB has few blinds and you play postflop in multiway and your hand equity is very low and realisation of this equity is bad because you r oop. I would fold preflop and wait for better situation.

Calling the raise preflop with KJo from the small blind is not a good idea, unless you have very specific reads on the original raiser as potentially being very light in that spot.

I agree with what has been said about pre-flop. It's either push or fold, and probably a fold.
Post-flop you should be checking to the preflop aggressor oop. When they call they either have a AK, KK, AA, or a flush draw. You block a king and a flush draw, making his actual hand more likely. Villain has shown strength, and you have a weak top pair oop. A more cautious approach is called for.
Regards,
J.

You called a bet from sb with KJo which it was not so wise. Anyway it worked for you, but the opponent was calling your big bets easily and of course he had something strong and the AA show up! Nice try!

Seems like a pretty classic case of over-valuing top pair to me. Otherwise I don't think I have anything to say that others haven't already said.

This is a fold pre flop as others have said. As played, I like leading out here as you did but with the SPR at about 1 I would just go all in on the flop (open jam the flop). I would never be folding in that spot with the SPR being so low and the fact that I have top pair and a backdoor flush draw. We are never folding to a C bet if we check and at that point for what the bet should be sized at, we would be more than committed at that point when we call it. I think it is better to just jam it as played even though you could be up against AK or in this case aces. This is another reason to fold this hand pre flop though since at your stack depth you will be forced to call off or go all in yourself with weaker hands that you normally would want to.

Its generally not a good strategy to call out of SB seat, and certainly not when your stack is only 13,5BB. So as many have said, this is a push or fold spot preflop. And while you dont have a lot of fold equity, when BB is esentially already all in, and there is a cold caller as well, I would probably just go for it. The guy cold calling on BTN rarely has a good hand, and if you get him out, there is dead chips in the pot.

And as for the chip leader opening from CO, his range could be extremely wide in a situation like this. This time he had AA, which will of course happen from time to time, but some players will have like 60-70% of hands here, since he is just trying to bully the entire table with his stack. So unless he was a known tight player, KJ looks good enough to me, but you could also just fold and wait for a spot, where maybe you have a bit more fold equity.

I'd say on average its a great jam spot preflop in a freeroll with so much dead money in the pot.

Although I dont agree with the previous comments, as in I don't think a call is that horrible here; yes, we're OOP on 13bb. But we're getting quite good odds, we can't get reraised pre due to BB's stack so we're guaranteed to see a flop. Plus the added bonus that OOP isn't too much of a handicap due to most opponents playing this very straightforward multiway. Although, probably check or jam flop (the 1/3 bet commits us pretty much anyways and at least now we get full value from worse Kx etc.)
