$Freeroll NLHE MTT: JQo (PSO free roll) on the BTN, Thinking of shoving in multi-way pot

I don't know \(If this move is wise or not), I had about 8bb's left, and there was so much dead money In the middle, that I knew I was gonna get looked up..

The reasons I felt I was gonna get looked up was because (I WAS SO SHORT), that they would be priced in to call me.

Now first of all (Is this an acceptable play), what I mean by acceptable, is under the circumstances I was in, would it have been better to wait for a better spot, or this do or die is acceptable with 8bb's?

Since we we're in the money at the time of this hand coming up, we we're about top 200 left..Now I know I could've easily waited and ladder'd up little by little, but I mean realistically what the hell is the point of doing that in a free-roll (I'd be retarded for hoping to win a penny more or less:eek: )..So I decided to shove preflop, and attempt to make them fold, and thus doubling me up.

So what do you think of this, is it acceptable or not

I think it is a pretty good spot to shove here with your stack. And with CO stack i think he will be calling with a wide range of hands. With just call preflop by CO you dont have to worry about big pocket pair. With rest of his range you will be slight underdog at max. So worth a coinflip here.

I don't mind this at all as a blind spot for sshipping. The only thing which worries me if I'm in the hand is the UTG VPIP: 29, PFR: 23. Given this player seems fairly LAG and is running PFR numbers a few points under his VPIP, the limp worries me. Obv we see he did fold, but it would make me ask "why did he limp" when I'm sitting in the hand.

8BB and wit two paint cards is a standard shove, what is the point ax you say in gaining an extra penny, may as well take a couple of coin flips and try and make the serious money

Well, I suppose you were playing it to get points for the league. I would have better waited till I got eaten by the blinds, and survive a little longer. The only worthy prize is the first one who wins 5$, and because of your ICM it was not probable for you to win that tournament. I would have priorized the points of the league.
