This was a freeroll tournament for everyone knocked out of a live quarter final tournament. There was no cash prize, top 10 got a seat at the national redtooth poker finals.
Preflop: I didn't want to give the villain an easy look at the flop, perhaps should have raised more.
Flop: C-bet 50% of pot with what I thought could be the best hand.
Turn:Hit the top pair, decent kicker, I double barrel 70% of pot.
Villain reraises and I shove all in.
I think I should have folded to his raise. I showed strength 3 times in a row and he called the first two times and raised the final time, indicating that he thought he was even stronger.
I haven't been playing for long and I'd be interested to see how other people would have played it and if there were any big mistakes in my game.
