I know that I should fold in the pre-flop with that poor hand, but after the flop, was it correct or was it very badly played?

After the flop, this raise to 450 is a wrong size, in my opinion because you can't fold this hand anymore, if you only call the 100 bet is more easy to control the pot, and maybe fold if wengz bet big (like he did for 350), like you say T 6 is a weak hand even with two pair

I think the important thing here is that you got all your chips in with the best hand. It's unfortunate that the straight came on the river, but when the chips went in, you were ahead. That is all you can do in this game.

Honestly, you played it correctly and got unlucky. We all know that 10-6 is a hand you should fold pre-flop, but you do have to play different hands at different times. The flop you basically have the nuts since there was no raise pre-flop. The raise was a good raise to try to build and show your strength. Even if they catch their straight on the turn, you still have outs. Just an unlucky run out.

As suggested before you could have bet smaller, to ask him whether he had any value, with a possible fold to a reraise. Checking here would likely have been a good move, with a smaller bet on the turn, all this time you should know he's drawing a better hand against you.. A tough situation I think.

I've had trouble with flopping two pair with marginal hands and losing in this same fashion, normally two pair being made over the turn and the river has been the most profitable. Feels the best when your hand improves over the course of the hand, rather than flopping a dangerous hand to play.
If I flop two pair it normally means I am up against any straight and flush draw.

:)

Your gross mistake is that with such a marginal hand and out of position you entered into a fight with an opponent whose stack is almost 4 times bigger than yours. A bit of luck and after the flop the villain has a more spiritual street draw, a very easy call from his side. Calling with such a hand, you probably counted on a "freebie" so why it surprises you that in this case it is not on your side. I think if it weren’t for a freeroll, you would easily fold a stronger hand.:ciao:
