Has this guy been crazy much? It's a freeroll so I probably call but in a normal tournament unless i know the guy is capable of a bluff raise I'm probably folding here, his line looks stupidly strong.

I'm not going to be in this situation since I simply fold pre-. Since it's a freeroll, the button is quite likely to call a raise after only limping, and then I'm OOP with a pretty modest hand that doesn't flop well.

As played, I call the shove. What can he have played this way that beats us? 33, possibly a better 9, maybe TT.

Otoh, what might he have that we beat? AA-JJ, a weaker 9, maybe missed flush draws, air.

Since these aren't all equally likely, it's hard to gauge our equity. But it seems decent enough, especially considering the pot odds, plus we're not crippled if we lose.

Thanks Arjon...I did call and he showed up 33 :( something you said in this or my previous hand review made a big difference in the way I have played since then...Thanks you for that statement :)

Arjonius he BB no need fold Q9 only check :D
In preflop raise with Q9 when opp, bad idea this margianl hand, only check..
In river i call, we have enough odds , but I think we are already behind. If pot was not large and he shove i fold.
How has ended hand,?? what the card villain should passively twice call in preflop ? i think 98s 97 108s or low pair... with other range hand button raise..

skrsh76 dont see your post..your call good, good pot-odds

yeah man thats a tough hand... but it is a freeroll so at least you didnt lose anything, the river bet you made was unnecessary because you had to figure your opponent wasnt scared of trip 9s

Easy call.
Aside from pot odds, its freeroll.
You have to pay him off.
