Was my push right at the start of the tournament and did you need to expand and put 4-bet?

I would have raised over shoving something like 600.

I also played AK early in last night's freeroll.

I had been the one to raise to 50 and was facing a very weak 3b to 80 so I 4b to 420 and vill 5b shoves. I didn't put vill on a strong hand and if I hit I could have been paid big, so I called the shove. They had 66 and it held.

I was right in my thought process and happy to flip even if it was early.

Backraising is just kind of weird in my opinion, and I dont really see the point in doing it. But as played you were deep enough to make a standard 4-bet to perhaps 600 chips or 30BB and then make a decision, if someone jam on you. I would much rather have isolated the first limper though and then put in a 4-bet, if someone 3-bet you.

I think if we are to 4bet here that our sizing should be anywhere from 900-1000 - anything less gives the 3better a great price to call and if we miss the flop, stick in a cbet we are already committing around half our stack just to fold if/when we get raised after we miss flop - all that being said it is also 1/3 of our stack using proper 4bet sizing here and my rule of thumb at that point is that if its going to cost me about 1/3 of my stack to raise then I am either shoving or folding.

Deeper I would easily say to just put in the 4bet and take a flop - if this were any tournament either than a freeroll i would flat the 3bet and take a flop without risking a significant portion of my stack. As I already said, if we 4bet its going to cost us a significant portion of our stack to do so and im not ready to put in 50bb just to fold. Take the flop and play it accordingly.

Now- because it IS a freeroll and players over value marginal holdings ALL the time - I am inclined to just jam here. We easily get called by underpairs that we are doing well flipping against (even QQ we are around a 45% favorite) - we crush all other unpaired holdings - just a great spot to catch an early chip lead and navigate the tournament accordingly.

So in this spot in particular I like the jam - its so easy for this player pool to call us off with worse. If this were anything other than a freeroll I think I would elect to just call the 3bet, keep worse Ax and Kx hands in the pot, play post accordingly and go from there.

I am not a fan of 4 betting here to something like 600-1000. I think in that scenario we get called and then will get checked to leading to a c bet from us that more than likely will make half our stack already in the pot. I believe the play here is to jam over as you did or to make the call and see a flop. I wouldn't particularly be on board with a jam over usually but this is a freeroll and you can could see some crazy calls here with hands we have dominated. For a buy in tournament I think this should be a call behind and then play accordingly.

First thing I would say is, I would have open raised, rather than limp.

As it was played, I prefer a 4-bet to around pot, which would be 740 (3x the previous bet+ what has already been put in), maybe even a little more as you will be OOP for the rest of the hand. This will fold out of your opponents junky hands and keeps in hands that you have dominated like AQ and AJ. By shoving, you are forcing your opponent to play perfectly, either by folding, or by getting it all in with only AA, KK, QQ and AK, against which, you're in pretty bad shape. Of course, early doors in a freeroll, it's quite reasonable to expect someone to call with any two cards.
