If it had folded to you, pushing would be pretty standard, unless it was right on the bubble. But when CO has already limped, I dont think, you have enough fold equity, or that 97s has enough equity when called. Even if he is limp-calling with something like A2 offsuit, you are still getting it in behind.

imo I am fine with this move if we are not on or very near bubble and we believe that an overwhelmingly amount of the time we will play heads up one way or another. That might be hard to know but my thinking would be if someone called behind me, the 11 BB stack who only limped pre would not really be chomping at the bit to get it in. Our hand is just fine heads up as long as we are not against a bigger pocket pair. Thats a big if but at 8 BBs its a risk that we can take and if we are wrong far off the bubble it is not that large of a mistake.

If I was playing the hand I probably would not jam and just fold, I want to be clear on that, but I do feel like if you know enough here where your table is not a bunch of call station crazies and you can get heads up here then it is not that bad. Especially if the heads up is against the initial limper plus factor in the times (at least some) that you take it down with the jam. You would still be 40% ish against one caller with AK off with no diamonds

Without any reads on the limper, I'm folding here. I do come across a lot of limpers that would fold to your shove, so if that's OK I quite like the shove.
