yap mistake is betting 2000 when the flush comes, after all he might have a flush, check here, then he might bet 2000 and you can call then.

you can't say if you made a mistake unless you know what your opponent had.

But you could have moved all in on turn ... at that time you did have the nutz, and he would make a mistake calling that bet, there's 4000 in the pot, you bet 3500 against his flush, he can't call that unless he reckons he will extract more value from you if he hits the flush. Now the flush hits you give him 2000 more that is bad, so now he is almost right to have made the call.

this hand show the strenght of being in position when you play and the opposite too, it's harder to play out of position.

Flop - if you are going to bet this, then bet for value, that small donk bet is useless.

Turn - Again get some value and price out the flush draws, overbet the flop here

River - check then call a reasonable sized bet

As played your bet sizing was very weak and you could have taken this hand down on the flop or turn.

Right Jilly , It's not sure he had the flush and u could see his cards with check. ( He could get an A-K Two-Pair)

Why would anyone be scared of the flush? He raised back the flop, so he probably made his hand right there. Runner runner isn't likely to me. If he happened to hit the flush I say so be it, but I'm not folding or even slowing down because of that last diamond.

betting less on the river than you did on the turn showed some weakness too, so a lot of hands that aren't quite the nuts are probably going to look good to him.

Jilly, as played, you think this is a fold to the shove on the river?

My fishlike mind would have been tormented by thinking that in a freeroll, you're getting A's up that will stack here all day long.

I bet he had AK.

Without a read I'd have to fold. Only AK that I could see making a shove is AxKd. I'd be surprised if opponent didn't have the nut flush. On the flop opponent with TPGK like KdQd, KdJd may make the donk min-raise and then picked up the FD so floats your small bet and then hits gin and thinks you can't help but call his shove. Since you don't have a K or any diamonds you can't discount opponent having the nuts here. I would expect AK to just call your 2K on the river hoping you were bluffing the ST8.

I think that if he had a made hand without 2d he would have made a big bet on the turn to protect his hand.
