push all-in and let him put you on the lone As or call off with the As himself

he actually has a flush a fair amount of the time, given this strong line. but he can easily have weaker flushes than you. you're sure as hell not folding, and calling sucks for a lot of spade rivers and is worse against his drawing hands. so shove

Have to shove, can't call and let one bigger spade draw and your stack isn't really big enough not to commit yourself to this hand if you do call.

And the likelyhood of him having one spade or even a hand like K8 should see worse hands calling and hopefully us doubling up.

Ok thnx for the replies this was really early in the tournament and I shoved and he called with ace 6 suited in spades. I thought maybe I could have made a great laydown and gotten away from this but like you said Combo he could have easily had a smaller flush.
