No one's mentioned this. You think it's perfectly reasonable to call in a case where you could be drawing to runner-runner "just to see another card"? And you're surprised when your opponent does the EXACT SAME THING? If you think you're ahead (or that your opponent simply has high cards and wants to steal on the flop), re-raise him on the flop. But absolutely no reason to flat call here, ESPECIALLY if you have no reason to do so. People have mentioned that it represents the 2 well. If you were doing that the call may make sense but still probably no because a 3 probably calls you all the way if they are a "donk" as you claim.
