Is my play as bad as I think it is? The last hand I had the same exact hand and hit top pair with K kicker on the button against AA.

KTs is not a hand to play against a raise and a re-raise, and certainly not to call an all-in with. I wouldn't open raise with KTs, I'd fold it. If you do raise for a steal, once you get played back at, especially for all your chips, chuck it in the muck.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with you but guess I was just being a bit impulsive. My thinking was that I felt like a bit of a shortstack and had the chance to triple up. From the little I've seen of these players I thought I was better than 2:1 (and as it turned out I was around 3:2 and just about tied with 99 as the favorite).

Oh well it was my 1st triple shootout but not my last. The only other tournament I played with 6 seats are 5cd. :)

It's 10/20. You don't 'need to triple up' yet, and you will be able to find better spots than effectively calling two shoves with KTs.

Agree K 10 is a little loose from early postion - good hand to fold.
