Hey guys, first hand posted for analysis, not really one I am proud of, was wanting to know what you think. So, the villain has been quite lag and has shown down nothing despite calling on a bet on the flop or leading on the flop. Will slow down after resistance.

I think pre-flop may be my problem but would love some opinions.:)

Agreed that PF is the biggest problem here. I fold like %95 of the time here; you're going to be out of position against anyone but the blinds, holding a marginal hand, and a hand like this could get you into a lot of trouble.

As played, postflop is fine and we can keep betting for value. Villain could easily have a weaker jack or gutshot draw, and we need to make him pay. If he suddenly wakes up on the turn or makes a big raise at any time, I'm probably just tossing my hand in fear of a 7, but we're ahead most of the time here.

Pre flop you need to either raise or fold, limping is a pretty bad idea. I think on the turn I would put out a pot sized bet, if he raises I'd fold if he calls I'll probably check the river.

Yeah, both you guys pretty much nailed it on the head first about getting myself into trouble not throwing it away pre-flop and then about just checking the river if called on the turn.

Anyways:

Bet I think 200 on the turn, call from villain.

River: [ 7s Jc 7h 5d ] 10s

Melkor12: Should have checked to see what the villain does, but probably fearing him trying to steal the river (despite the show of strength on the turn) and not accepting ToP PaIr LOLZ  was beat I fired out 300 to be min-raised and forced to call and see a seven.

Pretty clear what went wrong now.:( Thanks for the replies dudes.
