This is why I stay out of trouble with those marginal hands in the early stages of STTs. Especially turbos.

Well played though. I think you lost just about the minimum possible here; got your money in while you were ahead and put very little in after the turn.

My guess here is that villain paid to see if he could get lucky with gut shot straight draw. He then hit the A, but I can't figure out what he put you on to keep him from betting the river. The only possible hand was AJ or trips and I don't think you played it as such.

Note him as tight passive and overbet when needed.

Either way well played.

Cold calling 300 with a gutshot is tight passive?

This player is the definition of a calling station ie loose-passive. He just didn't get full value when he was ahead.

I stand corrected. A little bit of a typo. Loose and Passice hardly ever seem to go together. I usually type that as FISH.
