This was the third hand in and I had no information on this guy but I played it straight by the book and this guy called down 2/3rds his stack with a gutshot, then a gutshot/2nd button on the turn. It's hands like this that have me down $500 this past week.

Why the push on the river when villian offers you the3 check? Did you think he was floating complete air?? IMHO I push on the turn if I feel villian is on a draw or shutdown completely as middle connectors is a natural for the SB to play here.

^^^ Agreed with check behind on river, unless i have a good read, i rarely bet river with just an overpair, especially with the fact that river card completed every draw out there.

Also you will find awful palyers at these stakes since low stakes players can win 75$ token to enter these

Yep check the river...you can't get realistically called by a worse hand (at least very rarely if he thinks a pair of jacks/tens is good or something) and 9h was the single worst card you could possibly have seen.

Ofc you are a super short stack then...i would have been tempted to shove the turn i think because that is a pretty dangerous board, and a pot of 630 is "good enough" at that stage if he makes the right play and folds. But your turn bet was fine...he would have to be on an open ended FD to have odds to call that (which was possible given the board however).
