the way you played the hand is another story, i'm sure you'll get many posters jumping on you for playing it like that. the fold on the river is very difficult to make, but probably correct if that's all you really want to know.

Pop it to like 2400 preflop instead of just the small raise to 1600. If you are going to lead the flop, lead for like 2500. Leading for 1/4th the pot is just way too small and letting him call with basically his entire range. Any stats on this guy? AK/KQ are probably making up the majority of his hands that take this line, but without stats I wouldn't rule out an outright bluff or something stupid like 1010 or JJ.

you could of gone all in preflop, flop, and turn....especially if you suspected him w/ AK, the pot is already nice in relation to your stack.....what were you waiting for? although one can argue, depending on your level of thinking and reading ability that you made a genius play. i mean if you're 99% sure that he plays his AK w/ a lim raise utg and just call the raise, knowing he won't fold even w/ a rag board then you played it perfectly (you must of seen him do this at least 3x or so). that way you're sure you'd win the pot had no A or K on board.....but are you that sure he had AK? some pros might even find that dfficult. he could of easily had AQ AJ and bluffing you out on the river.

Could be AK. I wouldn't rule out AA or KK, either. It's a massive slowplay, but that's a beautiful board for AA or KK versus a preflop reraise.

Edit: Or a set, but only because you reraised so small preflop.

we should be allin on the flop or the turn at the very latest here.

- don't minreraise preflop.
- bet more/shove on flop.
- shove turn.
