Problem for me is that it's really obvious what you're doing: you're overbetting the pot to pretty much exactly the amount villain has left.

Of course, quite often it'll work despite the transparency - you're saying "Betchya don't have a hand", and often their answer will be "You're right, I don't, I fold". If you get called you're likely behind, but you should still have outs so...

I dunno. I don't hate it, but if we're going to make this play I might be more inclined to put them in pre-flop instead.

good move as chip leader. but if you do lose this, its time to tighten up the play. its doubtful he'll call so close to the button with a marginal hand, nor top pair w/ low kicker. honestly, i'm gonna say that villain folded. I mean he could think you're trying to bully, but who wants to risk their stack on a hunch.

I like this, it's what chip leaders are suppose to do: apply pressure.

he raised 4BB utg. if he has a pair, he doesn't have a "low kicker" ever, and villain check/folding a T or a J here with the pot representing close to his stack would be quite bad

that being said, i still think it's good. should fold out his medium pairs 77-99, and got outs if called
