All in straight away there preflop. You haven't enough chips to play post flop and if you hit an A or K you don't want him to get away from it, you need to double up.

He's calling your minraise with whatever he's got and you are pot committed.

Also if you push he may fold his 44 on occassion.

Thanks, I'll add that to my play book, especially for those occasional times that I am short stacked and deep ITM [last 3 tables or so] of a large MTT.

shove or dump.....here's why.
Mindiums initial minimum raise is a red flag ..I read this as him wanting more than 1 caller which leads me to believe he has a small pair or maybe suited connectors if he had AQ AJ AA KK etc I would expect more initially to scoop the blinds or get heads up. My only decision here is do I want to gamble my drawing hand which is prolly a slight underdog to his small to medium pair and shove all-in or fold it and be very short stacked. I would have shoved.....dont know if your 52k would have pushed him off those 4's though.
