I dont think, it was nessesary to go broke in this hand. 20BB is quite a lot to open jam, and if you make a standard 2,2-2,5BB raise, you can check back flop, call turn if he even bet with this hand, and fold river to still survive in the tournament. Its a bad call by him for sure, but he probably had at least 35% equity, so this will happen fairly often. After all he only needed a pair to beat your A high.

I think for 20 BB it’s close here, I hate his play with J2 but it happens... bad luck, you got it in with the best hand but it didn’t work out.

Unlucky but he probably put you on a pretty weak pushing range and was willing to gamble for all of the chips.

This is pretty gross, and may have been a misclick?

For you, I don't like the open ship with AQo on the button with 20 BB. Bet 2-3.5x PF (depending on reads and how the table is playing), and use your strong hand and positional advantage post-flop.

BB did a very bad call with J2o... You just was unlucky in this hand. I think push will be better than openraise in here.

I think there may be something to clairvoyance/ ESP , etc. .

If the U.S. military has/is spending money researching it you can bet there is something to it. Apparently some people are more in tune with "it".

Personally, I try to tap into "it"- pretty often I get a feeling about certain cards. A lot of times I fold them only to regret it.

But then again, sometimes I play crap cards thinking I felt "it", lol.

But, really who's going to call 20X BB or more with 4 8 o , with just a gut feeling?

And , you have to take into account the circumstances. If you are playing freerolls vs micro vs high stakes, there is a big difference.

It's just the luck of the draw. It's the way the cards fell. Sometimes it pays to be lucky instead of good...lol.
