14 left of the 36 that started, 13 qualify for the $215 Sunday Warmup. 14th gets $49 (I'm in for $75, initial buyin $39 + addon $36)

Lowest chipstack on the other table is 4500.

I haven't played a hand for half an hour.

Villain is 33/28 and is raising a lot of hands because he can due to stack size. Has called some reraises has folded to others but I've no real sense of range.

So I'm the SB and the minraise is under the gun.

How many franks and sotere;lfs are at the other table? NM im an idiot, you said other table is 4500+.................. GG

i think just folding would work, i mean you are in danger zone, but you are in a satt.

Errr id fold, that guy would gamble to get you out. SOMEONE will get out before you..... 33/28 lol he will call u with anything

wheras if it was qq+ its snap allin obv.

Great iffy situation. If you fold you have another chance, if you shove you have another chance.

I'm shoving here most of the time. When in the next orbit are those Aces supposed to arrive?

easy fold imo. This guy is going to call 100% of the time, and most likely you're flipping for your tournament life, perhaps you're up against only 1 overcard. Whereas you have 2 people who have shorter stacks. You'll have about 2700 after this if you fold and the BB will only have about 1500 and the other guy will have a little over 1900. Basically they both have to make a move a full orbit before you do, so I'd wait them out, most likely one of the two bust soon and I'd say the odds of one of them busting before you is better than the odds of you winning this hand. Just my opinion.

Just checked, and Rex did make the ticket, the question is, how did he do it?

Considering how low the BB and franck are, as well as the fact that you're getting called almost always here and are likely to take coinflips often here, I think I muck this.

Lots to be gained by folding, i.e not getting bubbled.

Not much to be gained by going all in.

Then two hands later on the other table, a guy with 4500 pushes ATo on the button and is called by a bigger stack in the bb with AQ and job done :)

I'd have folded down to 3bb before pushing less than QQ here I think :)

What always amazes me is how little attention people pay to the overall situation in these things. People going all in with big stacks with big stacks yet to act and other nonsense. It's great of course but it astonishes me when people won't lay down decentish hands even under the most seemingly +EV situations. I think it may be the desire to keep fate in their own hands?

Just as a follow up, what is the biggest hand you are folding here?

I'd have probably folded QQ (hard to say for sure though), definately folding AK and JJ.

If the QQ was suited I'd push.

Well congrats on making the ticket, i was a bit late but i would definitely fold this hand unless i had AA, possible KK. You got more than enough chips to make it, because as you said some people make poor decisions like the guy with AT.

This thread, along with others would go into a search for things about ICM. It might also be considered an advanced poker theory.

ICM in this case would tell you that the value of the fold here is worth more than the value of playing this hand. It might even suggest playing any hand, including AA is not the wisest of moves. Of course this is situationally dependent and Rex found a good example.
