So i shoved m opponent after they were first to act an they MIN BET 2K into a 16k pot, The rest of the hand you can all see. But how can my opponent call. Ok s it wasthe right call. An as i'm typing this i'm realising that if i'd raised to say 10k they may have folded an my all-in bet represented NOTHING. Am i right in thinking that?

You're problem in this hand is raising in early position with K9.

Other than that I'd say your thinking is about right, the huge overbet makes it pretty obvious that you don't want a call. Even though you didn't really have enough chips to be making a reasonable raise without being pot committed it really just comes back to that you shouldn't have been in the pot in the first place.

SeanyJ pretty well summed up the same response I would have given. Fold this and nothing bad happens. The only other question I have is why the shove on the turn with air? you had plenty to chips to make a strong bluff and if you are called shut it down on the turn or even fire again.

You ask, "How can he call that bet?"

He asks, "How can you make that bet?"

Yep the way u played this is total spew. If your gonna bluff you have to be fairly certain villain is not gonna call, I mean this isn't even a semi bluff! Villain could have anything that beats you and you put all your chips in not knowing anything about his hand! As has been said bin this pf. The only bet that would make sense after his min bet would be something around 10-12k, this would then leave you with some chips left if he goes all in.
