What do you really think at the bottom of your heart/brain ? Did the money go in with you as a favourite or a dog since, basically, this is how we judge a play that puts AI. Once you've answered that question yourself, you'll have your answer.

Argument could be made for pushing AK here because of stack size + the presence of antes but I like standard pf raise too.

I get it. I got the money in there. I guess this should go into the bad beat section.

i'm shoving preflop, although i don't think calling is terrible per se. but you've got under 20 BBs, with antes to be won, and you're facing a 4 BB raise in front. AKs misses the flop like 2/3 of the time, but fares much better when it's ensured seeing all 5 cards. or you'll just take the pot down preflop instead of missing and getting pushed off the flop by a weaker hand because they were the aggressor

flop is fine imo, though you can raise all-in if you want. given that he double barreled with nothing here, just calling on the flop was probably a good play against this villain. against someone who rarely double barrels but can't fold top pair, pushing is likely best. player dependent. as played you got it in as like an 8:1 favorite, don't see a big problem with that
