Thanks storm. Always looking for input on these kinds of hands because I felt like it was the correct play but then I was out in 5th.

all we can do is make the correct decisions at the time, the results are meaningless.

Looks like all the money would have gotten in somewhere anyway the way the cards came out.

100% correct. We are behind to very few hands and a huge favortie against a lot villain's range (KQ, QJ, A little, etc.). When your M is lower than 10, any A bigger than A10 is a push IMHO (AJ, unless suited, is maringal with many players left though).

Yep, and besides that look at the dead money in the pot, there was a raise and a call. Good decision, pretty standard suckout.

Not a big fan of AQ all in

the guy who won. had no business in hand after your raise.

AQ is a good hand... but i often fold it alot to reraises preflop...

The other night I was in a 5.00 tourny at PS..

I lost it in 3 hands...

on the button I had AJs... no raises b4 me so i put a little raise in...flopped trip Jacks with top kicker.. won that hand (350)

Hand number 2: I had pocket Aces... had 1850 chips now... I raised my aces preflop to 350 to go in SB.... This guy goes all in with QQ.. I obliged.

Flop gave him a queen and i was now down to 350 chips...

Hand 3: I had AK suited... in BB no raises before...so, hey I bid 120 1/3 of my small stack.... SAME GUY goes all in with A9 .he catches a 9.. I LOSE!

So... its hard for me to call an all in with AQ.... I hate all inning unless I know its a sure shot...especially in the begging of a tourny.

This isn't the beginning of the tourney, Hero needs to double up fast before his M drops even lower and he is forced to go all-in one more time to keep up. This is a standard shove 104% of the time. And people catch cards all the time, this is why we play poker and not solitaire (or maybe because there's no money to be made playing solitaire...)

I don't know if coming over the top with a push was right. There's just as good of a chance he has you dominated with A-K or a flip with a smaller pair, as he would play it the same way with that raise. In a 9max SNG and getting low I probably would have pushed here as well. It's a terrible call with A-10 and you just have to roll with the punches.
