I may raise a little less in that spot, maybe between 3k and 4k.

Thank you for posting.

We always want to know why we are choosing a size when we raise.

The data we use for the why is:

1 Villain range vs our range

2 V tendencies- calling station? balanced skills-able to fold and call correctly-loose wild-etc...

3 Our tendencies as seen by the V-

4 Player Pool tendencies as seen by the V

When we review our play here we start with ranges.
Basic example-TAG V
V- AA KK QQ JJ TT 99-44 AK-AT KQ-KT
US- AQ-AT KQ-KT 99-22

Based on these ranges what would you expect the V to call a 6 k raise with that we are ahead of?
What sizing might get more of the V's range we are winning vs to call?
Hope this helps

Preflop
With your position and the position of Villain, KQo is probably just going to be a fold to be honest with you. You have 4 players left to act behind you, who can squeeze, and 2 of them can also overcall in position, in which case you end up as monkey in the middle. Moreover this is not the kind of hand, you want to play against an early or mid position open. He is probably not opening hands like KJo or QJo, but he is opening AKo, AQo and all the pocket pairs, so you suffer from a fair bit of reverse implied odds, when you flop top pair. On a board like this he wont have QT or Q9 other than maybe a few suited combos, but he will have all the sets, QJs, all the overpairs and all the AQ, and all those hands beat you.

Flop
With the range of hands, he open preflop, what are you getting value from by raising? Other than exactly QTs or Q9s, which is 4 combos at most, he is probably only calling you with hands, that beat you, or have huge equity from some kind of strong draw. So as played just call and look to play some later streets in position. Protecting your stack is a major concern here, especially because you started the hand around 130BB deep. If the board runs out very bad like 2 more spades or an ace, and he bombs it, you can just fold and live to fight another day.

Maybe just a call or a smaller raise for me. I would make it to 3k and then see what's what. That or just a call and see how the hand develops. If you raise so big, either he folds or he calls and most likely he has you beat.

All excellent advice and opinions. I would have called this one and adjust approach after the turn. Agree with protect my stack in these situations as I try not to loose big chips or get stacked with a holding of a mid hand like KQ (unless flopped a monster hand).
