How would u have played this vs a known reg? Anyway, as played I thought to check-raise him cuz he usually don't 2barrel bluff right and is mostly for value but yeah..

Folding preflop is probably the best way to play this hand :D.

why? because even when we hit our set, and that is literally the only time we're happy with our hand, it's really hard to get paid off as we're OOP. And all the other times we just check/fold 75 chips into his stack.

Now if we're planning to do things to this guy postflop i'm a little more ok with calling. Like check/raising flops

Anyways, i'm likely leading into him on the flop, betting a small amount, something like 100ish, hoping that he spazzes out and raises us. The other line i would take is the one you just played, but i'm raising the turn much smaller, we pretty much commit him with the raise, so making it like 700 may be better but gets the same result probably.

I think i call this pre your BB and chip leader you also have some chips invested anyway and although your OOP post flop you hit your hand

I just flat turn and lead out on river with a small bet
