$6 NLHE MTT Turbo: Final hand of my 90 player $6 turbo. Could I have played better?

What do you think? With the blinds so big I can't see how I'm playing any differently

With 11 BBs and AJ, I think your play was fine. It kind of sucks that the initial raiser was UTG, making his range much stronger. If that had been a cutoff or button open, I would have been very happy to get it in there. UTG not so much, but oh well...

You could also just call and get to see the flop before committing all your chips. I am not sure, you have a lot of fold equity with 11BB against an UTG open, and that makes 3-betting less attractive. With this flop you would still have gone broke though.

I thought about that play, but elected to push all in because of the fold equity. And yes min raising under the gun is a strong play, but a play you can also make with lots of Ace X especially with the blinds the way they are and the strength that a UTG raise represents.

The table is 7 handed so we are facing an UTG3 open and so the ranges are not quite as strong. This is a snap get in with AJo - plug this one into icmizer and its a slam dunk. If we do take the lower variance line and flat - weare certainly going broke with top pr top kicker. Just is what it is here and we ran into the top of our villans range. Such is poker.
