UTG raised, he didnt limp.

But, seriously you need to get chips in the middle when you flop a set, the flop is great for 88, raise it. You'll get tons of action if he has AK, and maybe even AQ. You will find it extremly difficult to get stacks in the middle, when you are putting 145 chips in each on the flop.

As played though.

Bet more on the turn.

Shove the river.

I think your pre-flop call is fine, you're in a MTT and need to try and you need to make moves like this for the long haul. On the flop, though, I don't think I like flatting. I think a lot of top-pair and two-pair type hands will call a raise, or even re-raise. A lot of the hands he's c-betting with will check/fold the turn (especially if the BB calls behind you), so I don't think folding those out of the flop will really lose you that much value. Plus, if you want to get your whole stack in by the river, you're gonna be best off putting in a raise now.

If you have to win this hand then jam him more on flop. If you can stand to lose it then just set the drag and let him pay u off with out producing an all-in show down if you can help it.

This thinking is completely wrong. Your goal is to maximize value, not to win the hand.

If this is a sng ? Just calling on the button with 88 is weak, Re pop prolly 70-30.
you need to be raising after you flop your set hence the reason for the Pre flop raise you will get A to go all on on a flop aj aq???? But I like the river bet not ever really worried about a flush there but you can avoid that by raise on flop

Reraising 88 OTB vs. an UTG minraiser with 150 BB stacks is just unspeakably horrible.
