Couldn't possibly comment egon :)

I do think that analysing mtt hands is always made trickier by the lack of context and metagame, which in reality will always be a huge consideration.

Not that it doesn't exist in ring but it's a different cup of tea.

But given that (as far as I can tell) the majority of people here are mtt or sng players first and foremost I'll try and put more time into the HA threads.

I concur. :)

I said that very recently in another thread, and several respondents thought I was a silly person. I am happy to see that you are also silly. :D

i would defintely flat call pre flop as reraising would only lead too him shoving with AK and u playing a coinflip which u dont really want to do. Flat call a see the flop and if no A or K hits, ur in position so he will probably c bet an then u have two options again. if u want to try and extract more value on turn or river just call and hope he follows through with his aggression (of course by doing this u run the risk of being outdrawn). the other option is to raise him on the flop and protect ur tens and win the pot right there.

I personally don't like taking a flip here, flat and play postflop. the stacks argument i totally disagree with, if we lose what we think is a flip we have about 10bbs to work with, if we are forced to fold post flop then we have 30+bbs which is more than plenty to work with. taking flips in a deep stacked tourney is kind of stupid with this stack if you ask me but thats my opinion.

Well though I really felt in my gut that he had AK - his range was so small and I was beat by every other hand I could think of so I folded. :(

Worked out well though!

Impressive read. Please teach us your Jedi mindskillz. :)

You don't know how happy I was when I saw his cards. I was really watching that table and it felt very nice to call that hand exactly. But I felt foolish playing it as I read it. I should probably start trusting my reads a bit more.
