wsop Event #3 The Big 50 (4 starting days 1 rebuy each day, so possible to fire 8 bullets)
Early in tourney: Level 2 Blinds 100/200 with 200 big blind ante
Effective stacks ~50k (250bb)

BUT - semi-pro from Minnesota, played a few hands aggressively
SB - Hero
BB - tight passive 20 something

Action folds around to
BUT who opens 3x to $600
Hero has :10d4: :10h4:

What action should SB Hero take? Why?

I am pretty much always either folding or 3-betting from SB, and TT is certainly strong enough to 3-bet against a BTN open.

IMO, the best play is a 3-bet.
TT is a great candidate to 3-bet here, a call wouldn't be good considering you're out of position, and TT is definitely good enough to afford yourself a 3-bet here against his button range, also knowing he might be aggressive.. You're deep, so it's all good.
3-bet around 3.5x-4x...

I'm still learning, don't know if I'm correct, hope I helped though :)

3-bet not just to take it down (you probably wouldn't as majority of the players would call from BU with a deep stack with a super wide range of hands), but to also establish some image at the table.

In case of a BU flat, just evaluate depending on different flops,
If BU 4-bets then all options are ok. I would personally call or even make a 5-bet, but never fold.
