Unless you have a great read and know he's been doing this light, it's probably a fold. You're a coin flip at the very best, but you could also be way behind. And obviously you're out if you lose, but if you fold you still have a decent chance of cashing. Having said that, with 11 BB's it should have been a shove, not a raise.

Yepo, if you were gonna play the hand, shoving is your only move..

now once you make the decision to raise, you need to think ahead, "ok if i raise here, am i going to call a shove? if the answers no, then you should reconsider raising in the first place.

3x is far too large of a raise size, 2.25-2.5x would be appropriate for this level.

now that above advice is for when your a bit deeper, like 15+ BB's, here with 11bb's (effectively less due to antes, probably around 9-10bb's) your only play should be shoving or folding.

BB had cowboys here and they held up. Prior to this the 3x raise was getting a lot of folds. I guess i should have know to fold once he pushed all in.

im like never folding this. You're on the button so BB is probably pushing wider and AJs is really strong 4 handed. But yeah, like wizzim said, at this point in the tournament you should be raising 2-2.5x bb or shoving there.

Thanks to both of you for that advice. I will keep that in mind if the situation comes to this again.
