Having seen this V shove massive stacks w/Q4s and J5s I thought A8s was good enough to call off 15bb with. In hindsight maybe 15bb is too many?

I think you could leave it, because you see another flush than the one you have, occuring. Which at the turn gives the third diamond. And nothing else is related with your cards from the flop.

We were all-in preflop. No one could see another flush yet ;)

The opponent showing up with AA does not mean anything, since we always expect AA to be part of a rejamming range for 17,3BB. The important is, if his entire range is wide enough to justify calling, and here your information is pretty conflicting. You have seen him make big shoves with Q4s and J5s, but this is not in line with his HUD stats, that show a PFR of only 12,1% and a wide gap between VPIP and PFR. So the question is, when did you see him make these big shoves? If it was within the last 1-2 orbits, then he is most likely on tilt, and calling him off wider is a reasonable adjustment. But if its a note, you made from a previous game, then I would go with the HUD stats and make the standard play, which is definitely to fold.

In theory, your LJ raise range looks like this
LJ

and the player's BB restal looks like this: 12.1%, 22+ ATs+ AJo+ KQs KQo QJs JTs T9s
Your call 3bet shove is bad with A8o because here is what you would call with in this spot: 11.1%, 55+ A8s+ AJo+ KTs+ KQo QJs

We want to be certain of our reads so a good study point for you would be to review the other shoves and make sure there was not a good reason for those shoves---if no then your call was fine as you will be ahead of the V's range---You also want to review that players play to see if they only raised top of range instead of shoving it--if yes then again you were fine calling--- in this spot they did shove top of range----Using the Hud also helps look at the gap between VPIP and raise it would indicate that this was not a maniac-PFR would be higher- lastly the composition of the V's raises that you quote being suited hands only suggest some understanding of LAG play
