Very first hand of a 5$ 9-man KO SnG on pokerstars. Unknown opponent ships in his 75 bigs from early position, and it folds to me in SB with AKs. Do you get away here, or are you ready to gamble it up? I recommend posting your answer before checking the results in the replayer :)

PokerStars, $4.54 + $0.46 - Hold'em No Limit - 10/20 (3 ante) - 9 players

I'm always amazed how people just ship their whole stacks in without any reasons. I think these players are scared to actually play poker.
My point is to call, cause we can be biggest stacks to hunt bounties, and almost all the time at least a coin flip here.

OMG , what is he doing??? I would have called although you know my approach in gambling with so many big blinds. It's a bounty and also a 9 max and life will be easier for you after a double up.

Ok now I will watch the replayer :D

Would you call in mtt?

In a non-bounty tournament I would lean more towards a fold, because calling is then a losing play, if he is doing it with a small or medium pair. But with the bounty its profitable, unless we run into exactly KK or AA.

Some reg tend to play this way with KK, AA. But if you played regularly - you know regs. Against fishes with wider range it will be coinflip most times. But with bounty, yes, it will be profitable with high dispersion.

I actually tend to discount KK and AA quite a bit, because I think, most people will want to get action with those hands. Maybe you can get away with open jamming KK or AA in a freeroll, because some opponents will call off way to wide. But in a 5$ SnG you will generally only get action from hands, that are so strong, that they would also have 3-bet.
