Stick it in, be pretty damn happy about it. Not often you get a chance to double up while only risking 2/3 of your stack. I'm getting it in with TT+/AQ+ here and thinking long and hard about 99/AJ.

Definitely going to agree with Baudib here. We're already ITM and this is a great spot for Jacks.

I'm leaning more to folding here, it is tempting to put it in with a chance to gain more chips but not worth the risk of being crippled.
It's not like your in a spot where you NEED to double to stay in.

I personally am not risking 2/3 of my stack on a flip, which this will no doubt be.

Shove. I'm not delighted but I'm also not thinking too much about it.

we don't care about UTG's range, we're likely flipping against MP's range. We can't be knocked out, if we lose we're left with a workable stack and then some. And we have awesome odds.

Call.

thanks for the responses guys, I got it in, and was up Against A7s and QQ and binked a flush. thought it was quite clear cut given that people loosen up ITM considerably. Thanks for your responses

Agree call here. If we're flipping, it's likely we're ahead of at least one hand or the other two are sharing some outs.

stats on MP would play a huge factor in my decision here.

he was playing rather tight but recently lost half his stack so the numbers might be skewed, its just ITM and original shover has open shove 3 times in last two orbits from mp. iso shover seemed competent

If he's competent he has to realize that shorty is shoving super wide and it would be a mistake to fold or flat with a ton of hands that JJ is crushing. Given that read I'm for sure shoving here and getting in a few worse hands as I said above.

allll in, don't think shorty is shoving that wide given the table isn't short and he's got 16k but he's still fairly wide and MP can definitely iso him with AJ+ 77+ which we have 56% equity against, if we give shortie that same fairly tight range we've still got great equity so flick it in.

Deffo an ISO shove here from MP and very high chance we are always nearly good here, he can be doing this with any pairs and alsorts + our jacks are good vs UTG+1 SS range here too. < < Don't think MP is ISO shoving better here unless of course he thinks you think on a level where he could be ISO'ing quite wide.

Either way, lets go.

Wow, after reading most of the responses here I have come to the conclusion that I am an extreme nit. ;)

Considering that one player had in fact a PP higher than jacks, is my original response wrong?

Yes, results are irrelevant as you're not playing against specific hands. He just happened to have the top end of his range. Getting it in is still correct.

In general I would shove , but if I have some kind of read that MP isn't doing this wide enough I am able to fold it.

Yep. Though this is closer now that OP has provided reads that he should have stated in his original question, it's still a ship for me, though this is the bottom of my range personally.

reason i omitted the reads was because i thought this was a close fold readless, and over shove given reads and wanted to see if others were ever folding this.
