I'm still figuring out how to post a hand history that is reader-friendly. I feel like there is too much data here. Bare with me...

Anyway, this was the action I was facing with pocket JJ.

Winning Poker Network (Yatahay) - 75/150 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG (UTG): 31.53 BB (VPIP: 13.33, PFR: 13.33, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, hands: 15)
UTG+1 (UTG+1): 13.87 BB (VPIP: 100.00, PFR: 100.00, 3Bet Preflop: -, Hands: 1)
MP (MP): 33.33 BB (VPIP: 14.63, PFR: 7.32, 3Bet Preflop: 6.25, Hands: 41)
MP+1 (MP+1): 12.83 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 50.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 2)
MP+2 (MP+2): 15.29 BB (VPIP: 20.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 5)
CO (CO): 67.47 BB (VPIP: 17.14, PFR: 8.82, 3Bet Preflop: 7.14, Hands: 36)
BTN (BTN): 29.77 BB (VPIP: 24.39, PFR: 15.38, 3Bet Preflop: 6.25, Hands: 41)
Hero (SB): 26.05 BB
BB (BB): 49.93 BB (VPIP: 20.00, PFR: 10.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 10)

9 players post ante of 0.1 BB, Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Dealt to Hero:
JdJh

UTG raises to 2.7 BB, fold, MP calls 2.7 BB, MP+1 raises to 12.73 BB and is all-in, fold, fold, fold,

Just wondering what others would do here?

I've been getting knocked out with pocket Jacks a little too often lately. UTG is playing tight but only 15 hands to go by. MP's call could be strong as he is tight. No real reads on MP+1.

Cheers

I would snap call, they seem pretty loose and you have a strong hand

I would flat then fold to the UTG all in. if UTG folds and MP goes all in, I would call them given they have already had a chance to 3 bet raise and their low 3 bet percentage

Youre either jamming or folding here, youre never calling 12bb here of 26bb stack. Im leaning toward folding unless I thought I could fold out some of these folks, preferable the ones I beat. So jam or fold

I agree 100%, i’m never calling nearly half my stack then folding.

I jammed. UTG moves in with AKo and MP folded. MP+1 had 88. This is about what I expected and was the best case scenario as UTG was playing fairly tight.

JJ has been getting me out a bit lately. I should look at folding these spots more often. I don’t think I can ever fold QQ because it narrows UTG range to AK+. But then a jam here might fold out AQ and then JJ is in the same spot.

Is anyone folding QQ here?

QQ Im jamming, so i guess youre right and JJ should be jammed too. Never folding QQ here, will fold JJ here sometimes but now Im not sure that is correct. We create our own variance by playing hands differently than we would any other time

It probably is correct to fold sometimes, because sometimes AQ will call, especially AQ suited, and in small stakes games. I guess you have to be reasonably sure your opponent will fold AQ to make jamming JJ more profitable.

I'm jamming here.

If you see the flop against one player, even if their range is as tight as AQ+, JJ+, you still have 43% equity, and 6.9BB of dead money in the pot.

If you see the flop against two players with that tight range, you have 30% equity in a big pot.

If you are still working on strengthening your position in the tournament I would make the call. But if you have a stack a good bit above average I would fold.
