$5.50 NL HE Deep Stacked: CC buy SS with Q8o vs button raise

I have been kinda thinking about this hand since Sunday. It was during the final table of sundays CC pokerstars buy in so some of you may recognize the hand. I cant shake the feeling that I should have waited for a better spot. Im not sure if its just because I lost the hand or because I really should have waited. so I thought I would post the hand here and see what you guys think.

now keep in mind villains stats were pretty much what you would expect for a CC'er and late game strategy was in full use by all.

If one of the big stacks raised, I could see a call here. Since it wasn't, I think I would have waited for a better spot.

well you are probably right but let me share a few of my thoughts on the hand also. First note the huge stack right behind me so I wasnt getting many good stealing spots on him. Also the rest of the stacks were reasonably similar so there was plenty of stealing going on between other stacks beside the big one. Also less relevant that Q 8 was my best hand in like 4 or 5 orbits.

also im not sure that you meant a call but a shove right? I cant call a raise by anyone without shoving with my stack imo.
