$33 NLHE MTT Rebuy: Checking for pot control, then worrying if your good on river.

Poker Stars - $30+3 Tournament (#552010724) - Blinds: 15/30 No Limit Hold'em (9 players)

SB: t2,540
BB: t7,500
UTG: t6,670
VILLAIN: t4,800
MP: t7,500
MP+1: t2,500
HERO: t4,666
CO: t7,490
BTN: t7,370

Pre-flop: HERO dealt :ac4: :qh4:
UTG raises to t60, VILLAIN calls t60, 2 folds, HERO raises to t186, 4 folds, UTG calls t126, VILLAIN calls t126

Flop: (t603) :qs4: :jc4: :7c4: (3 players)
UTG checks, VILLAIN checks, HERO bets t328, UTG folds, VILLAIN calls t328

Turn: (t1,259) :qs4: :jc4: :7c4: :9h4: (2 players)
VILLAIN checks, HERO checks

River: (t1,259) :qs4: :jc4: :7c4: :9h4: :3s4: (2 players)
VILLAIN bets t930, HERO calls t930

I'm checking turn to control pot size in case he hit a set, str8, or two pair combo. but does that then mean because I've checked the turn can I call any bet on the river? Even if the amount is so large and the player is solid.

OUTCOME This time: He shows AK for missed str8 + flush draws. I win the pot.

Don't put outcome in.

and what PO said, what FD? I presume you mean he has AsKs and confused it with missed FD when you posted HH?

Definitely not

edit - I'm retarded. This river, obv calling, was thinking you meant any river

I assume you have a reason for 3-beting pre. If you don't think you can valuebet the turn don't 3-bet this hand preflop.

as played call for sure, when you take a line to induce maximum spew, you don't fold to the spew.
