Hi Guys,

Should I have done this, SNGWIZ says yes but I'm wondering what do you guys think.

I have no info on the Villain as it was my first hand against him on the final table.

Cheers

So with no info, let's give him a normal raising range from MP. So maybe 14% which includes KJ+, 44+, A8+.

Against that range JJ is an absolute shove. You can shove 88+, AQ+ there profitablly if give ourself a .3 edge in Wiz. Even if we make him tighter, like 8% which is A10+, 66+, your jacks are still profitable to shove. Most of the times at the final table in 18 mans, you can usually get it in good with JJ as a call or 3-bet shove.

Need to shove. JJ is a good hand and is beating the majority of villain's range. The only hands he has that dominate you are AA, KK, and QQ and you are about a coinflip with AK or AQ. Villain is likely to raise with possibly any ace w/ a decent kicker, KQ, KJ, etc. By shoving, you have fold equity and even when called, you still beat villain's range. The flop was great for you although the river kinda hurts if villain had a T.

@luciusyg, what would you consider a reason not to shove this hand?

Ship the nickels. We're too short to do anything other than shove or fold and we're way ahead of a normal villain's raising range so folding would make baby jesus cry.
