This is a great spot for the BB to profitable 3bet squeeze allin, with really a wide variety of hands to take all dead money.

Why? Because imo he has only to be worried about what you will doing.
The 2 who called you are often weak, otherwise they would have probably raised you themselves and also their VPIP/PFR indicates they are playing way too passive preflop with too many hands. I think the BB played this hand very well and that you never should fold AK in this spot. You are such a favourite vs his range.

Also stop 3xing preflop and even worse if you keep 3x and than fold premiums when somebody comes over the top. <---- You can only do this when you have a read on BB wich you obvious didn't have .

Also from $3-$27 is 9x the buy in so if you only doubled up once at this point, I think you still have to find a good spot to accumulate chips.

I would have snapped this one off!

I don't play tournaments but this is an easy call. Would K/K+ just open shove over the top from BB? No, he would want to get value not make everyone fold, which is what this shove looks like.

its probably a call since its a $3 satty, but people saying this squeeze is standard when its nowhere near.

people dont habitually shove 60bb to pick up like 10.

My question really is ...
(very hard to answer without stats on the opponent)

At this stage in the game...guy will lose half his stack to me if I call, makes me assume he got something perhaps a PP ... is it more advisable to go into a flip with him... or having a decent stack - retreat and wait for a better spot?

I truly not sure.

What do you recommend? 2.5x?

Depends on how deep the stacks are, so in the beginning you can keep 3x ing.
than 2.5x and in endgame its often better to do 2x (or real close to 2x).

Shortstacked, 3-way, with dead money in pot? No way. Too many chances to get cracked and lose big vs winning a sizable pot right now. As the BB I'd insta-shove that spot with any high PP (yes, including KK/AA).

Yes I would also shove my entire 3bet range in the BB. Like I said I'd expect his 3bet range there from this player to be real wide (a lot more combo's than high PP's +OP has got 2 blockers)
