$.25 NL HE: TT Overpair on a Straight Flush Draw

A little context: my villain here is a HUGE stack, and has been taking out all the donks at the table. He's not a donk himself but certainly has given himself the luxury of being very aggressive with his enormous stack. How would you respond to his aggressive bet in this situation? I have a strong hand considering his loose range. He's called AI bets before with A9s and pushed hard with marginal hands and draws, so I don't give him that much credit for the bet, but then again I'm not sure I want to risk so much this early in the tourney given he could have hit his flush... thoughts?

I think you should make it easy on yourself and fold, you don't really need to push this early in a tourney and your info on him doesn't seem to put him in the aggresive donk category. he could have a 9 and is protecting but also could have hit the two pair. Overall i fold and live to fight another hand, thats a tight play though.

i dont mind getting it in here, this seems to be a draw a lot more often than a made hand.

does he donk bet often?

He doesn't donk bet, but because of his big stack he has done a lot of re-raising and stealing and aggressive plays in general, as well as calling PF raises with almost any two cards because his stack is so huge. That's why I don't respect the strength of his hand that much.

I would go allin here.
You have an overpair, flushdraw and straigt draw.
So, If you raise maybe he doesn't call you.
If he calls you have many odds and maybe you have already the best hand.

If you're not willing to play for your stack with this hand against a player who has a wide range, what do you need? Yes, he could conceivably be ahead, but it seems like there are quite a few more possible holdings where you're either ahead or your big draw is favored.

I shove and take my shot. If I dent his stack, maybe he dials back his aggressiveness, which adds to the positive result. If I fold, that certainly won't happen. And if I bust, I don't have to worry about him any more.

Indeed, in the end I decided to shove, figuring that my pocket pair was probably good against his hand, and that I had enough outs to reasonably catch up in case I was behind (the other two tens, the spades, sixes and jacks, many of which would probably crush him). I shoved and after thinking about it, he folded. I'm guessing he was on a low pocket pair or perhaps even two pair, but figured I'd already hit a straight or a flush. Had he been on a flush draw, given his play I think he might have called. I won the hand, and ended up winning 2nd in the SnG.

Thanks again for all the responses!

Yea... good decision.. i would have pushed also because you did have a reasonable amount of outs even if he had flopped trips or the flush
