Thank you for posting.

Hand1
When we play in these types of games we may want to adapt our 3 betting ranges based on the fact that our skill advantage does not come into play until we are post flop.

AQ is a much better flat than raise in this spot because we do not get enough folds and 3 betting AQ for +EV requires some folds as it does not realize equity well when we miss versus this type of V.

If we flat here we can then overfold the AQ off saving our chip stack for other hands when we see it will be 3 way.

Calling AQs is where our cut off point might be versus this type of V.

Hand 2

It is good that you stay in a positive state of mind and know that you have to just keep playing well and hopefully the variance will turn.

Hope this helps
:):)

These kind of players may run like gods in short term, but long term they will gonna loose and probably not reaching any success in those MTTs where they get you.
So lovely title for these unhealthy hands, hopefully you 'll not have to experience so much more in the future. GL to you. :)

In these two hands you got your chips in good, but in general I would often fold AQ and even AK to this sort of action with deep stacks. It does depend on the opponents though, so with a strong read, that these guys were total goofballs, calling is fine. You will see less of this though, if you move slightly up, even to something like a 2,2$ MTT.

Yeah. These guys had both been playing like total maniacs. Ironic that it was the same cards that beat me in both hands. I am going to move to 2 dollar mtts. Planning a deposit tomorrow actually.

Both of these hands will depend on if you have played against these players before and seen them jam huge stacks this light before. If you havent though, then you shouldnt be over calling two jammers with over 100 BB stacks with AQ off. Its just not strong enough usually and on top of that you have a skill advantage in these tournaments and you want to use it, not just gamble it. However, I will say if your plan is to allow yourself multiple rebuys in these micros and feel like you have a good shot of being way ahead here then calling with AQ is fine considering opponents could just have random cards as they do here and you would be the fav to have a very very large stack.

Second hand is same as first except there is a big difference with AK vs having AQ when we are calling jams so I am fine with. However if you are not planning to rebuy then you are alleviating your skill advantage and basically just playing your opponents game by gambling.

Which site/tournament did you play these hands? Such crazy players. I know it's microstakes but still...

I don't like much the call so deep on the first hand.

I didn't really consider these 'bad beats', per se. Just unlucky with the variance, I think. If I had been way ahead maybe I would have felt like I got hit with a bad beat. I really only posted to show how crazy the micros are and one has to be prepared for this kind of variance.

Great points and I fully agree. Indeed AQo is not nearly as good as people might think but these guys had been stacking off with extremely bad hands multiple times in a row so I knew I was way ahead of their 'ranges' (in quotes because I don't think they even know what the term means! ).

I think it's bad to go third after 4bet and call 4bet. Despite the hands that the opponents showed.
