Early playing in a DoN. A few hands before I had (stupidly) lost 2/3 of my stack. Blinds were still low (25/50) when I got dealt the AK. Wanted to get some feedback as to whether my shove was the right move.

I don't see any advantage to not shoving, but thought I'd throw it out to you.

Merge - $20+$1.60|<> NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (UTG): 580.00
UTG+1: 1,063.00
UTG+2: 2,050.00
MP: 3,427.00
MP+1: 1,345.00
CO: 1,315.00
BTN: 2,450.00
SB: 1,635.00
BB: 1,135.00

SB posts SB 25.00, BB posts BB 50.00

Pre Flop: (pot: 75.00) Hero has A K

Hero raises to 580.00 and is all-in, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 1,110.00, fold, fold

nh. You're obv never folding so the only other option is to min raise to induce a shove but I prefer just open shoving.

Nothing wrong with shoving here, it's actually the right move considering your low chip count.

Always shove, gets you called by worse. If you raise then brick the flop you are in an annoying spot plus my raising with that stack it looks super strong so people will tighten up their ranges vs you, so just shove and get called by worse :)
