$2 NL HE STT Turbo: 99 on an 8 J J flop

Villain seemed pretty tight, but this was only 20 hands in. I could have flatted from UTG with 99 but I decided it was good enough to raise...maybe TT instead? How would you play this post flop?

raise to 2.5x(250) which means your cbet is going to be smaller.

As played i cbet to protect my 9's, they rate to be the best hand a v high %, id bet to around450-500 and im most probably calling a shove vs an unknown $2 player, they will get it in here with smaller pairs, AK sometimes as well. 10's is the only hand im kinda worried about, and random Jacks, they get it in with a random 8 too. we have enough equity to ship it on this flop i think.

And no, you can't 'flat/limp' you don't have the odds to set mine so it's either fold or raise, i don't really fault either plays, but id be making a raise with 99, and calling a 3bet shove preflop most times. If you were a little shorter, like 14-15bb's i don't fault overshoving, as these hands are hard to play OOP postflop when overs hit.

Out of position situation. You have to bet the flop, but you also must not commit your stack this early in a STT. It will be a tough decision if he raises your flop bet. He could have AK or AQ... but what about AJ? Odds are against AJ, but you don't want to go out and not allow yourself a chance to cash. It is still 8 handed. You need about 2k to be in the running when you get to the bubble. I would probably fold to any reraise from the villain in this spot.
