Pre Flop: (pot: 2.2 BB) Hero has K A

fold, UTG+1 raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls 2.5 BB, fold

Flop: (7.7 BB, 2 players) 3 7 3
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets 3 BB, Hero ?

This was right on the bubble. 27 paid 28 left.

I remember thinking I didn't really feel like getting out of control pre with AKo in that spot so I just called.

Just wondering what options I have here on his continuation?

Shove pre or stop 'n go.

There's no 'getting out of control' about that.
- With 15 BB we are shortstacked, more so since antes are in play and it's not a full ring.
- You may well fold out some medium PPs.
- If you're called, you're only dominated by KK and AA, which his range is weighted against since you hold one of each (also, even at this stage people still sometimes like to limp these in EP). On the other hand you dominate a fair chunk of hands and you're flipping against the rest.
- AK is a superb hand IF it gets to see all 5 cards.
- Shoving eliminates your position disadvantage.

The thing here is that if you're going to flatcall for 1/5 of your stack preflop, then check to him when you whiff, a c-bet from villain is very likely, so you should already know what you're planning on doing.

yeah, personally, i like shoving from that spot. If you run into a cooler against AA or KK, it happens. You're either going to be flipping against pp which you can almost throw out anything lower than TT. You're also and 3:1 favorite against any other ace.
If you don't like shoving preflop, then shove post flop. It makes you look like you have an over pair to some

Seriously easiest spot to get it in pre ever.

seriously, this.

Well, you can't really fold it, neither can you just flat it, maybe only if you plan to stop'n'go, then i think it might be somewhat reasonable, otherwise I think you can't...
Like you don't get AK often enough in this late stages to just play fit-fold, cause you will just bleed away chips..
Forgive me if that's wrong, i'm just a beginner grinder but imo when you get really strong hands pre with 15bb and a 20+/20+ guy raises into you, you can't just flat very strong hands pre, and then just c/f when u miss the flop and risk being blown off the best hand.

Great spot for shoving. This is never a call since you will miss most of the flops and what do you do then if he cbets?

If you're really 100% worried about just making it to the money and not go for the win, then you should fold it and wait untill one player gets eliminated, but my advice is to shove in that spot since he'll fold a lot of hands and you're only dominated by AA-KK.

So, given that spot:

shove>>>>>fold>>call

Jam pre. As played jam flop, given his stats and the board texture he has something like 0% of the time (well not 0% but enough that you really should jam).
