yeah you HAVE to bet the flop, no point slowplaying as your the original raiser, he is going to fully expect a CB from you with almost any two cards, at these stakes DO NOT SLOWPLAY, they will pay you off most times

I like the idea, but if he's going to check raise then let him check raise the flop when he's near dead and get it in.

Agree this is an awful flop to check with a set. This flop smashes so much of his range that I'm absolutely fist pump c-betting. If you want to check a flop with a set it would have to be a flop that has completely bricked it for his range and you need to let him catch up to make any money.

I think you just brainlessly checked because you had a strong hand and didn't want him to fold without considering anything other than your set.
