Worked out well this time, but think I like calling flop and getting it in on a nonspade turn instead of getting in on the flop.

I agree with above I think calling the flop and seeing the river is probably the best option here considering the flop. It really is the sort of flop you hate to see when you have pocket kings.

I think this is either a shove or fold. Villain is saying he is pot-committed by donk-leading flop and only leaving a few thousand chips behind. Without holding the K of spades, and against a tighter opponent, I think you can find a fold. But seeing this opponent call a 3Bet OOP w/ QJo, and then leading the flop shows he is not the most experienced player. I'm calling an opponent like this, in a spot like this, 9/10 times.

Thanks everyone. This is good stuff to think about. I actually never even thought about calling when I was playing the hand. I felt like it was shove/fold, but I can definitely see, based on the board, why calling has merit. I knew they were pot committed so I figured they were going in regardless, but I get a chance to fold if I have doubts on the turn. Interesting stuff to think about for the multiple strategies.
