$2.20 NL HE: 2400 player tourney, I make the money, was I right to shove after that?

Ok, so after playing very TAG poker, then opening it up and doing major stealing of blinds. I then get caught after a 3 bet. I fold for fear loosing my stack. It wasn't a great hand and I should have known better. After even that I'm still above the average stack.

I make it into the money. After a few hands, I start pushing again. So did I do the right thing? Oh and for the record, the player who killed me for major chips wasn't in this hand.

Obv a long way from makin the money to makin good money in these & one has to keep accumulating chips to get there. I'm lookin to see a cheap flop with that hand my self & after he calls your raise, I'm gonna be reluctant to keep firing. Of course I'm a nit. :)

well I am a nit also so I am definitely seeing a free flop here. Then we can lead out for far less and can fold to a raise. Although i will say as played the min raise on the flop for a huge chunk villains stack is strange. Maybe he miscalculated and thought that was enough to put you all in? dont know just looks funny.

Why are we leading out with such a large bet on the flop? We only have top pair weak kicker so we want to excersize some pot control here.

As stated previously I would love to see a free flop with this hand and this would be the perfect flop for that situation, something that we can keep relitively small and not thave to worry about risking our whole stack with.
