In hand 1 BTN was at the rock bottom of his 3-betting range, which does not make it a bad fold. The outcome of hand 3 and 4 is avoided, if you move in preflop. In hand 4 leading or check-calling flop leaves you an option to perhaps get away, when the most obvious draw complete. When you check-jam, you almost force him to either have a better hand or huge equity, when he call.
