Easy call, HJ probably had A9 or AT, you have more chips, even if you lose you still have plenty of blinds, and why check two times with a set?

This is a very easy call. The only hand that beats you is either AA or 24. The odds of your opponent having either hand is extremely slim.

I doubt that he raises with 42, so the only Hand that beats you is AA. you slowroll your set and get the perfect Chance to get all his Chips.
not sure why you ask yourself if you should call or fold.

I would rather ask why you didn't 3bet pre

Just 3bet call if he shoves preflop vs a 35bbs from HJ.
As played that is not even 1% chance to fold Ts there so.. without question

Hero raises to 8,000, HJ raises to $70,581 (all in) Hero calls.

HJ shows [2 4] (a straight, Ace to Five)
Hero shows [T T] (three of a kind, Tens)

Think a pot bet or shove reraise preflop against a lag like this would of won you the hand,
Same on the flop you should raise something to build the pot,
With turn putting a flush draw out there would be betting big too no free cards.
Was a nice trapping hand but you let your opponent get there without giving them a chance to fold.
Better to chip up and force opponents out of hands then leaving it at the mercy of the board run out.

Agree with all above - also - no disrespect intended --- it provides a little extra special happiness when I see trappers/slow players get busted.
I know it's a tactic (part of the game) but it's just so sweet to see the tactic backfire.

How'd you end up in the tourney?
