With such a short stack the standard play is to jam or fold preflop. I guess, your small raise worked in the sense, that you got action from CO with QJ, but that is also, why the suckout happened. So weird play, good result, bad runout. Hand really belongs in "bad beats and rants".

When you lose with aces, you lose big. I once had aces in late position, a player in front of me went all-in first hand with AQ. He flopped QQ. Every hold 'em player can tell you a dozen stories like that.

here the situation is that all the aces are in the hand. but lost not even to hand pair, but QJ preflop:joyman:
