Suited ace, and only 11 BB's...but should I shove with that UTG?

1st fold. He probs has a pocket pair or something. Unless he's been doing it every hand I'm just folding.

2nd fold

#1. Fold. Assuming you think you're +EV at this level, playing big pots in uncertain situations isn't the best strategy. It's the poor players who should play in a way that increases the luck factor.

#2. Fold. You may not be a huge dog against one caller, but the more people yet to act, the more likely the pot will be multi-way, which isn't good for your hand.

I folded both hands. The 2nd one I thought was tough...if I would have been in any position besides UTG I more than likely would have pushed.

Honestly (imo) 2nd one isn't tough. w 10bb's pretty sure it's only a shove otb, & maybe CO if antes in play.
Try to get ahold of a SNG shove chart.
(1st hand = ez fold obv.)

Two folds for me as well.
However - I wonder what you would say for the second hand if blinds were much smaller?
Personally - if I can "spare" the chips - I might limp - to try and see the flop. I have a personal preference for suited A2- A5.
I will probably get a lot of criticism for this "suggestion" but perhaps that will help me.

2nd is is not even close tbh. Huge mistake from most positions if you shove.

Fold both.

#1 - it's either a race or you are crushed = just WAY too early to get involved in that.

#2 - by the book you can make a case that you are down to shoving range - but so is everyone else. You are UTG - don't panic and look for a better opportunity coming your way sometime within the next 4 orbits.

not from EP though.. makes a big difference (EP 10bb's w/o antes, probably more like 66+,AT+,A9s+)

Way to not quote my disclaimer - I think if you look at my post I am not advocating shoving here. Yes, you are correct - it makes a big difference.

1st hand i could go either way. if he was playing very aggressive then it might be a profitable call. otherwise, it would be a very loose call for a lot of chips.
2nd hand definitely fold. 11 BBs/ UTG/ A2 is not the best scenario. You will be able to see a lot more hands with 11BBs, I would wait for a stronger one...
