Was playing this for a bit of fun while at work. 200 left, about 600 started.

The chip leader had been happy to call all raises, allins on a variety of draws. Not to give away too much, but by the way he put his bet in I was convinced he had not hit his flush - he had been raising his draws when he was first to act.

What would your next move be???

Do you feel lucky Punk?

If this is pure fun and you do not care - call. you could well be beat by higher trips, KQ or flush.

That said you beat pair, 2 pair and he is likely to be bullying, knowing that unless you have flush/straight that you are likely to fold.

Me personally - I would call - but thats to do with the mindset of its only a $1 and its only a bit of fun.... ( and I am likely to be caught soon playing at work and its not worth risking my job for )

I would push all in here. If your opponent is chasing, make him/her risk a lot of their chips for it. My guess is your opponent has a pair of Aces, maybe two pair.

since there is a wide range of hands he will bet with here and either be ahead or behind with(flush/straight/2p/TPTK), i think we can just call and re-assess if another spade falls on the river that doesnt fill our boat. keep the pot small since you dont specifically know where you are at.

To confirm - I think due to chip stacks a call is the same as all-in ( give or take a few chips )

Do you feel lucky Punk?

This was a dirty harry reference....... eg you are staring down the barrell of a gun. Did he fire 5 or did he fire 6? One way your a hero, the other way you are zero. !!

Nothing personal

He made a play with a whole lot of outs. As you know, these hands happen and long term you'll get your money back. You got your money in the middle as the favorite.

The only thing I might have done is push all in when the 2 on the flop hit. Bully would probably have called tho. Same result......
However, there is that oddity of the quantum level random shuffle and deal thing online. Which means that 1 microsecond later and the turn and river change........

You should have bet a big bet out on the flop is the only way you could have won this hand.

you might have been leading after the flop but he had plenty of outs and plenty of chips to call its hard to tell what he would have had in that situation i mean he got pretty lucky with the river but that's poker

You did fine Ronaldadio, a bigger raise on the flop probably would have made him fold, but that's not what you want when you flop a set. Your goal here is to make this pot as big as possible, not to make him fold, you don't want that. With 2 clubs on the board you also don't want to give the right odds to drawing hands (not that he was exactly drawing on the flop, but you get the idea perfectly). Your pot size raise accomplished both.

You got outdrawn this time by running clubs, but its ok, you played it right. Crap like this happens only a small percentage of times and long term the way you played this is +EV, as already mentioned by Tosborn. Better luck next time
